Care & Reuse
Unlike traditional picky pads with hard pony beads, our Pimple Popper Fidget Toy is versatile because we use soft, squishy Orbeez water beads for endless sensory fun and reusability.
Once you’ve picked or squeezed out all the beads, there are several easy ways to reuse both the pad and the Orbeez balls.
How to Reuse Your Pad & Beads:
• Reinsert: Place the water beads back into the pad’s holes for repeated picking and squeezing.
• Rehydrate: Soak Orbeez balls in water for 4–6 hours (1:1 ratio) to restore their size or make them larger. Rehydrated beads can also be used for sensory water play or as stress balls.
• Decorate: Use Orbeez balls as colorful decor or water beads for flowers and plants.
• Refill: Sprinkle dry Orbeez balls into your pad’s holes, then submerge the pad in water for 4–6 hours—the beads will hydrate and grow right inside the pad.
✦ Pad Care & Reuse Instructions
Most traditional picky pads use hard pony beads that only lets you pick and pull. Once the beads are out, that’s it UNLESS you have a remeltable pad, but those are more expensive. On the other hand, our Pickables Pimple Popper Picky Pads are different because….
We use soft, squishy Orbeez water beads for a soothing squeeze, satisfying sensory play, and endless reusability! The water beads themselves are reusable, which allows you to reuse your Orbeez balls and pad in a few ways.
✦ Here’s how you can reuse your balls and pad:
• Reinsert Water Beads: Once you’ve picked and squeezed out all the water beads, just put them back into the holes of your pad to enjoy it again.
• Hydrate for Sensory Play: Soak your Orbeez water beads in a cup of water for 4–6 hours (1:1 ratio of water to beads) to rehydrate them. If you’d like to make the balls bigger, you simply add more water! Water beads are perfect for sensory play, stress balls, or calming activities for adults and kids.
• Water Beads for Flowers: Want to get creative? Reuse your Orbeez balls as colorful decor or as water beads for flowers and plant arrangements.
• Easy Refill Hack: The most popular way to reuse the Pimple Popper Picky Pads begins with purchasing a dry packet of Orbeez balls. A pack of 30,000-50,000 Orbeez balls costs around $10, which should last you several months. Next, sprinkle your dry Orbeez balls directly into the holes of the pad, then submerge the whole pad in a cup of water and leave for 4–6 hours. The beads will grow right inside the pad and gush out in different sizes!
• Pad Longevity: You can reuse your picky pad up to 12-15 times before it begins to weaken and becomes “floppy”. On the other hand, water beads will shrink from time to time once exposed to air (losing moisture). Whenever this happens, you simply rehydrate them again!
✦ What about the Hair Picky Pad Fidget Toys?
Our Hair Pulling Pads are not reusable at this time. We do plan on dropping a bio-degradable pad in the near future. In the meantime, we try our best to pack each Hair Picky Pad with lots of hairs, including front, middle, and back.
